There are a number of reasons why data may not be available for tracking.
- The shipment has not made it to the web site yet. New shipments take an average of 30 minutes to appear on the web site.
- Invalid shipment number. There may have been an input error or the number that you are tracking with may have changed. If you are logged into MyBTX your BTX office information will be present, call your local office for assistance. If you are not logged in to MyBTX please call our National Customer Service Center for assistance at 877-289-2471.
- The shipment is older than 12 months. BXT archives shipments older than 12 months. If you are logged into MyBTX your BTX office information will be present, call your local office for assistance. Yes, BTX offers online shipment tracking for air, ocean and brokerage shipments via our Tracking Link.
Yes, if you don’t have your airbill number, but you know your shipment’s reference number, you can still utilize online tracking. Just use the Track by Reference Number option. You can also contact Customer Service at 1-877-289-2471.
You may track by a BTX air waybill from the top of any page on our website. If you click on the advanced tracking link you also have the option to track using the shippers reference number. Track up to 5 shipments at one time. For customized tracking see MyBTX.
BTX will reroute a shipment before an attempt is made to the original shipping address. However ample time is needed to do so. Package rerouting is not available in all countries; you will have to contact your Customer Service Representative.
A reference number is any combination of letters and numbers up to 35 characters that you assign to a package when you ship it. This reference number could be a purchase order number, a customer’s job number, a sales order number or a group of words that identifies that shipment. See tracking by a shippers reference number.
